KE$HA GRABS THE POLE POSITION
RCA/RMG Pop Phenom on the Clock After “TiK ToK”
January 6, 2010
A new decade, another new female pop diva.
This one calls herself a pimp, brags about throwing up in the closet during a “Party at a Rich Dude’s House” (supposedly Paris Hilton) and scolds one potential boy toy, “Don’t be a little bitch with your chit-chat/Just show me where your dick’s at.”
She’s Ke$ha--think a female Beastie Boys crossed with Lady Gaga--an electro-pop 22-year-old Valley Girl whose singer/songwriter single mom, Pebe Sebert, is helping guide her fast-rising career, with studio whizzes Dr. Luke and Max Martin providing the beats.
Her debut RCA/RMG album, Animal—in large part thanks to the smash single, “TiK ToK,” now up to 2 million downloads and climbing—hit retail this week and looks set to battle her polar opposite, Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed a Dream, for #1 on next week’s HITS Top 50, with a total between 105-115k. That’s based on one-day sales from those retailers who haven’t re-opened as medical marijuana dispensaries. Ke$ha was previously known for being the featured vocalist on Flo Rida’s massive smash, “Right Round.” Give credit to the signing to RCA/Jive Label Group boss Barry Weiss.
no, it was not. I'm not talking about iTunes. I bought a physical copy for like eight dollars. Can't remember the exact same price. I paid 7.98 for my copy of 'Animal' so it was the same price as 'The Fame'.
Well I don't know where you bought The Fame, but it was 9.99 on Walmart and iTunes, the biggest music retailers so..... yeah.
And this didn't have anything to do with The Fame, I never mentioned The Fame. But if you want me to mention The Fame, here is my two cents: if The Fame re release was reduced from 13.99 (some retailers it's even more) to 6.99 it would be #1 for weeks to come
Well i got my copy of "The Fame" for 7.99 at my local best buy the first week it was available lol. But its not a big deal anyway since most new releases are reduced the first week in at least 1 retail store
I also bought my copy at bestbuy. Target and Circuit City also had similar prices. I highly doubt ghetto Walmart was charging more when that store is aimed to be the "most affordable"
^They must of drove to the last one in their ghetto with 3 cars in the parking lot to get 2 dollars off. Or they making it up cause The Fame always be 9.99

I'm sorry? What? Did you just accuse me of living in the ghetto? I live in Bev Hills. I didn't buy my album at Circuit City. I bought my album for eight dollars at bestbuy and like I said Walmart is the "most affordable" so I HIGHLY DOUBT they were charging more for The Fame than the most expensive retail shops [BestBuy and Target]
