Kishi kinda hated girl characters. It's a thing among many creators. But anyway I think all this was left how it was because the Boruto series are coming, so it gives some "conflicts" to the newer generation.

Boruto not liking his father for his lack of time. Admiring Sasuke on the side.
Sarada ha background struggles. Etc. It was also how it was destined to end when Hinata showed interest and because Sakura's whole existence depended on Sasuke. (I don't like that Sasuke actually settled down tho, that doesn't seem something he would do.)

I read the manga because the anime, to me, was insufferable. So, the series has been over for me for a while. I miss Itachi, that's about it. Itachi was flawless.

The most memorable ep for me is ep 101. It's the one where the trio tries to find out what's under Kakashi's mask. It was funny It's a filler too iirc
