Not the same situation but I believe iTunes does something similar when you pre-order an album. If it's delayed, you will keep waiting regardless of how long it takes for the material to be released.

Yeah that's not the same at all. iTunes doesn't take your money until the album is released.
There are people who are probably trying to get this refund, plus potential flights and hotels - which have their own time frames and regulations on refunds too.
Apple is even so delayed they don't take your money right away. You can literally buy up the store and not get charged for weeks.
