I thought that we could say 'do good' as in 'do a good job'. I don't think that it's that grave of a mistake though.
'Do well' does sound better in this case. 'Do good' works if you're trying to say 'be good to people' I guess.

My everyday language is French, but both French and English are the official languages of my country. We converse in English only in meetings, interviews, and other important / serious stuff. It's pretty weird for me to talk in English with my relatives or friends because it seems very formal, whereas French sounds 'normal' if you get what I mean.
Despite that, I still prefer English. I watch movies that are in English, read mostly English books, and listen to mostly English songs. I also express myself better in English.
