Whether they were alive or not during that time is irrelevant because a) people can do their history and find out what happened and b) the bill has/had long term effects on some black citizens. There are people today that can't get jobs because of the petty crimes they have on their record, as a result of the bill.

After Obama’s election, Willis served on the president’s first inaugural committee and was appointed as Special Assistant for Indian Affairs in the U.S. Department of Labor. There she assisted Secretary Hilda L. Solis to build meaningful relationships with tribes and participated in the White House Tribal Nations Conferences.

I agree. The RNC has a good enough candidate with Kasich if they really don't want Trump or Cruz. And at least that makes somewhat sense because he's been running this whole time. Kasich would put up as much of a fight to be president that Ryan would, but Ryan running would be an insult to the last six months of their political process.

Why are you blaming Hillary fans with this (unless I missed something from someone else)?

Hillary has cared about both the economy and criminal justice reform. There is a reason she has the mothers of Sandra Bland and Trayvon Martin to name a few supporting her with her campaign. But she also has an extensive plan to help the economy on her website too.

President Obama has done a lot of solo work with mandatory minimums and pardoning first time drug offenders in jail for over 10 years. Problem is, is that he can't do much more than this with a republican house. I'm sure Hillary will at least do the same unless the democrats can take the majority.
