OMG did Obama just respond to Bernie's statement? I smell an endorsement coming!!!!
Obama has been low-key voicing support of her over Bernie for a while. It's very subtle though. He isn't going to say anything until the nominee is decided, which is wise. I don't want anymore division and the president backing a candidate in the primary (which runs the risk of him supporting a candidate that doesn't win the nomination) would only further divide the party. He's being smart about it.
I'm pretty sure she has and I dont really care enough to look for a source cause COMMON SENSE tells you that these candidates are going to imply that about each other directly and indirectly.
The attack was premised on Sanders' claim that Clinton had said that he was unqualified to serve as president. Only she didn't say that.
This morning he half blamed the press for the false claim but also doubled down on it. "So when, you have headlines in The Washington Post, 'Clinton questions whether Sanders is qualified to be president,' my response is well, you know, if you want to question my qualifications ..."
All candidates, by definition, say that they're more qualified than their opponent. Various things Clinton said can be reasonably interpreted as questioning whether Sanders is up to the job of the presidency. But it is an entirely different matter when an opponent, in his own voice, says flatly his challenger is "unqualified" to serve as President of the country. That is omething that cannot be unsaid. If Clinton is the nominee, it will undoubtedly be a staples of GOP stump speeches in the Fall. These are simple realities of political campaigns. Primaries that drag on get intense. Especially in the venomous and kinetic New York media environment. The Clinton operation has plenty of sharp elbows themselves. But it is incumbent on both candidates to fight hard and yet not say things that can't be unsaid - not always as easy thing to manage. No she did not. What Bernie was referring to was an interview recently where they asked her to say if he was qualified or not in response to his NY Daily News interview, and she said he just didn't study enough to answer the question appropriately. She never once called him unqualified. She even responded today to his criticism and said she'd gladly take him as president over Cruz or Trump.
I'm sorry, but if you're going to make a claim and then refuse to look up a source when people tell you something didn't take place, then that's the epitome of ignorance.

I'm sorry, but the entire Crime Bill mess was trying to help black communities that were heavily plagued by outrageous acts of crime, such as kids being shot on the street. It may not have been perfect legislation, but it had a good intent and there was a tangible problem when it was legislated. And I'm quite frankly sick of being grouped into a "super predator" because I'm black when that term was explicitly used to refer to gang members that were legitimate criminals and would even murder innocent people.
Every grievance, real or imagined, anyone ever had against the candidate, it seemed, could be sarcastically aired under this big tent. By early Thursday, more than 90,000 tweets, many of them decidedly Clinton-unfriendly, had gone out under the #HillarySoQualified banner.

It's no surprise that the people hitting the Crime Bill nonsense hard are like 19 and 20 year olds. People born in 1997 are suddenly experts on the 1994 crime bill because they read a Michelle Alexander article about it in The Nation.
Where were these protesters 20+ years ago when he signed the bills? I know most of us were young or weren't born yet but still it would have been more effective when he was actually president.
No, I just don't like playing dumb. Bernie wasn't referring to her skills, and if you want to talk about refusing to acknowledge a source then you should know that he didn't take a dig at her skills and experience, he took a dig at her judgement which is what we have been saying the previous posts. I really don't have the time to search any source because it is such a non-****ing-event.
That's part of why Bernie hasn't broken into the black vote significantly. Criminal justice reform is not the top issue for the average black person. They're mostly concerned about money and finances like everyone else.
