Now that you mention it, I can totally see it, he really fits the bill. It would have been great to see some scenes with him and Sophie with her manupulating him and seducing him like in the TWOW chapter George released last year.

The "Ramsey strategy" is ticking all the boxes that Littlefinger had in mind for Harry the Heir in the books except that they changed the location from Vale to Winterfell, Ramsey is a monster and they dived into gratuitous rape territory. Agreed. To be honest, since the general idea was to move Sansa towards Winterfell all along, I really don't mind the TV version of it and them changing her storyline a bit. Even though I've read the books, this shortcut makes it a bit more interesting and did speed things up. Why bother with two weddings (Ramsay/Fake Arya and Sansa/Harry) that are orchestrated to achieve the same goal (marriage to take control of Winterfell). By getting the main characters that benefit the most and want to be in the same position makes it easier. I do wish things turned out differently for her, but it was much more juicier having her right in the middle of everything.

Yeah we don't get to see Sansa manipulate a bit more and orchestrate a tournament but we already know she can, we've seen her play bigger fish than Harry.

The one change that did annoy me and that the producers used to justify the rape is that Littlefinger didn't know what a sadist Ramsey is... he would have found out everything about that boy once the idea to get Sansa up there came up. A couple of well placed spies in the North and in the Bolton camp would have given him all the info he needed, plus stories of him flaying northerners because they didn't pay taxes would have been easy to make waves.

Anyways, I really look forward to her story this season...

I wonder what chapter George will release next.... he usually does one around this time before the show premieres.

The Winterfell plot has many plot holes like the fact that Littlefinger gave up Sweet Robin to Yohn Royce, the fact that Cersei wouldn't know about Sansa in the north when in fact she's supposed to have many spies everywhere, the fact that Sansa is already married, the fact that Sansa wouldn't be stupid enough to marry Roose's son when in fact she knows it would secure Roose's position as the warden of the North and ruin her politically forever, the fact that Baelish"didn't" know about Ramsey when all the north knew about Roose 's bastard sick games. It was stupid to the progression of the character , in the last episode of season 4 she was all Darth Sansa and then you send her to get raped willingly, sexual abuse and rape don't empower people, they leave them with big traumas for the rest of their lives.

My theory about Littlefinger in season 6:

Littlefinger will plan to ride in with Vale forces and dump the Boltons just before "the battle of the bastards" (episode 8 and 9), which is why he got the royal decree from Cersei naming him “warden of the north” in the first place. And will expect to find Sansa either dead or completely broken offering him no challenge. He was probably counting on this and knew exactly what he was doing when he left Sansa there.

What he will not expect and will find instead is Sansa flanked by probably Jon Snow (the only one who can lead the wildlings to the battle against the Boltons), and people loyal to Jon Snow. This ruins his plans, because no matter who or what Jon Snow comes back as there’s no way in hell Jon, or anyone close to Jon is going to trust Littlefinger. He’s about to be outplayed by the woman he taught to play the game, Sansa.

But don't count out Littlefinger yet. I dread his next move, since this one kinda failed.

I've been watching one episode a day until the S6 premiere and I just finished "The Rains of Castamere."

The final scene is still so powerful even after all these years. It was made even more powerful by listening to the commentary by Richard Madden, Michelle Fairley, and David Nutter. It almost made me cry when Richard and Michelle were crying at the end.

He dies. The last shot of season 5 is a dead Jon Snow. That's clear.
The question that should be asked is "Does Jon Snow come back?"

Either way, I'm tired of the question too and can't wait for the season just so it can be answered.

I saw this the other day, I was so glad to see Sansa as the head female character. This is only for book 3. I wonder how much more her stock would go up if they did all the books and the tv show as well and add in better connections to the Vale Lords, Brienne, the Boltons and Theon on top of everyone else she'll encounter in the upcoming season.

She has the most connections out of anyone to most parts of the kingdoms. She's seen as heir to the North since everyone thinks her family is dead, her mother was a Tully so there are the Riverlands, she's the de facto lady of the Vale now that her Aunt is dead. A good alliance with the Tyrells, married to a Lannister and a half brother at the Wall... She would just need a connection to Dorne and maybe the Stormlands, but with Stannis dead on the show, it's up for grabs.
