I have to say, it is interesting how many more Bernie supporters have popped up in this thread... Before it was practically all HillaryHens and Marvin (with Mike popping in occasionally).

They went AWOL after 3/15 and will likely be gone again after 4/26. Like when stans go ghost when their fave debuts with 80k album sales.
Bernie doesn't resonate with my beliefs, and yet I'd still vote for them. Life is typically about the lesser of two evils. Rarely are important decisions between a good choice and a bad choice.
Fine, I'll call it illogical and selfish.
Well we are sometimes in stages of our lives where picking the lesser of two evils isn't satisfactory for us.
In fact some of us could say that succumbing to status quo is illogical and/or selfish.
Hillary supporters keep bringing up that Bernie isn't a real democrat and criticize him for what he's said about raising money for the party etc (which is a valid concern), yet they expect his voters - a large slew of them being independents - to vote for Hillary in the GE when Bernie is the only reason they're even voting in the democratic primary to begin with.
You can't criticize him for being a "fake democrat" and then expect his independent voters to back the other democratic candidate in the GE; as you've already pointed out, he's not a democrat in the traditional sense and while his political stances are closer to Hillary's than they are to Trump's, they're not identical.
His independent voters are registered independent for a reason and once Bernie is out of the race, their concerns about the two party system and the establishment will remain and under no circumstances has Hillary earned their vote just because "at least she's not as bad as Trump".

I've been trying to think of a way to say this for a while. Spot on. It's not as simple as Bernie voters reverting to vote for Hillary by default.
Are all of the Bernie supporters in here (apart from me) not planning on voting for Clinton when/if she wins the nomination?
I know Mike isn't... Mike is actually very concerned with the unifying of the Bernie if and when Bernie doesn't get the nomination and is hoping for a VP spot for Bernie.

*sighs*
Well, as long as we don't end up with President Trump or President Cruz, then I don't care enough to say anything in response to this.
I ain't groveling to self-important Bernie stans begging for their votes. As long as the Dem base shows up in not complete garbage numbers Dems will win in November.
