Well, your concern is very legitimate. $15 minimum wage nationality would massively hurt small businesses that barely get by. I personally do not think it's worth it. I'm all for raising the minimum wage, but it should be done very incrementally and make sure that top economists study the impact of such raises so that it's not hurting the economy along the way.

Bernie only lost Milwaukee by less than 4,000 votes. That's a lot better than I thought.

There were a few states where he won all of the counties. But yes Wisconsin has been impressive for him

Well everyone knows that instantly raising the minimum wage would be disastrous. Businesses need time to adjust.
The way I see it, people have more money to spend at stores and restaurants. Any extra costs from paying employees more would be erased by the extra revenue from new / higher spending customers. And for the small town argument, more people might be convinced to move to smaller towns since their money goes farther, but then again it's really no different now since the minimum wage in big cities are not high enough compared to the cost of living. I don't think small towns would suffer from it.

If you look at the Top 15 blackest states, of the 12 that have held primaries/caucuses, Hillary has won 11 of those 12 states (Michigan being the holdout).

Bernie will snub MD and DE completely. He'll focus most of his time on PA with some CT and RI on the side.
Personally, I expect him to lose all 5. Maaaybe he'll win RI but that's all.

Now she'll only be ahead by ~200 pledged delegates
That's double the lead Obama had over her and she won OH, PA, NY, FL, NY, and CA. Bernie isn't winning the nomination lol.

Rhode Island. Is that a particularly rich state?
I don't see him winning the other 4 either.

What would you and your friends do with a raise? Spend it. The increase in consumption will give your boss more costumers.

The biggest losers of higher wages will be the small businesses. There will be plenty of the smaller companies who won't be able to afford the wages. However, those that are family-ran, those will be the ones to rely on free labor via "volunteering by relatives," to get by. I hope this doesn't severely impact small business owners. The hope for balancing out will be that, the higher the wages, the more money in consumer pockets to spend.

Not necessarily. Nothing guarantees that a good majority of consumption would go to small businesses for that logic to hold. In fact, it'd be more likely that big businesses would be able to out-compete small businesses in prices and attract more customers.
