I actually know a ton of people that would never vote for an atheist. Probably more than they would a socialist. To the people who've mentioned that to me, they've claimed that atheists tend to be "amoral" and don't have a clear conscience. I think that is total BS but that's what my dad said when I asked him about it in the past.

And yeah we've already talked about the Congress thing multiple times before. Hillary's "agenda" is just as "unrealistic" as Bernie's in that case. I mean you're pretty much saying let's just let the Republicans win since Congress won't support them. Doesn't really makes sense tbh

I don't trust atheists, but I don't see why someone wouldn't vote for a candidate they love because they're atheists. And the fact that so many wouldn't vote for a Muslim is tragic

Christianity is far more ingrained here than Islamophobia has taken root, for some people, they see that someone isn't bound to the "rules" that shape their morality or anyone else's and find that distrustful. That's also a part of Islamophobia too but that's higher thanks to the rise of ISIL, Al-Qaeda, the Arab Spring, and all that painting a negative picture of a largely peaceful people. With the rise of Trump though, I wouldn't be shocked if those numbers got higher than atheist or socialist from the last poll.

Well, looks like the Bernie Sanders campaign has admitted defeat. Basically, his campaign has admitted that the mistakes they made early on in the election process is why Bernie won't be the nominee.... Hopefully all Bernie supporters will read this.

He's having a rally at Temple U Wednesday. I was invited but had to politely turn it down because I have a tennis match that day.

Fundamentally, I'm all for democratic control. Healthcare should be a right for everyone, along with education, regardless of one's social background. I know people who are over 35 and they're still paying off their student loans and all the while struggling to do. SOMETHING has to change. When I was talking with a co-worker, he was telling me he's against any notion of free college. I can't grasp why anyone would be against allowing the younger generation the tools to progress in this economy. All the more reason why I'm for the minimum wage being raised to $15 an hr. No one working 40 hrs. a week should be at the poverty line.

None the less, I also understand why many aren't in favor of a socialist economic system. Oddly enough, I agree with certain political ideologues of both sides. I'm a bit torn.

Why does he go to colleges? Shouldn't he assume that he already has support of the college students? He's failed at trying to reach out to older demographics.. Thats what has killed him in this election cycle.

I can actually see him doing well in Connecticut and winning it, but not PA, MD, and DE. Maybe he can win RI as well, but IDK.
