They should, it's clearly been a waste of money for them so far.

Cruz is largely unvetted too...I think people get a sense that he's extreme but Trump has taken up all of the oxygen in the room so he's been able to skate for the most part

I agree. Trump and Hillary have been attacked left and right. Cruz has been but not as much as those two. Kasich and Sanders largely have been ignored (one of the reasons why Sanders' supporters protested CNN lol). I seriously hope Bernie is clean (I know he isn't but I can dream) if he's the nominee because they will be vicious and I'm not here for George McGovern part II

Cruz is literally the worst
I guess I'm thinking the GOP will pick Kasich because he's the most level-headed one, but maybe radically conservative is what they want
Whoever they pick they will need to eventually united behind that candidate... and Trump won't be the person to do it. He would probably end the party for good. They can't be that stupid, can they?

That is my fear as well.

Is anyone here for a Clinton-Sanders ticket? I remember back in 2008 when Hillary was in complete denial regarding her chances of winning, that her campaign "graciously" started murmuring about her making Obama her VP.
How long before we start hearing the same in 2016?

the establishment wing of the party would love to have Kasich as their nominee but the voters are NOT havin it lol they had 2 moderate candidates that got beat handily in the last 2 election cycles, they are DONE with rationality...they have turned against their party leaders so if those same party elders were to conjure up some back room deal to hand Kasich the nomination, the voters would be livid to say the least! Cruz is probably their best option when it comes to consolidating the Republican votes....he'd be a weaker GE candidate than Kasich but he's a more skilled politician than Trump

I don't think it's a matter of being stupid. It's the fact that if they give Kasich the nomination, even though he only won a single contest, then they're spitting in the face of everyone that voted and the party would still likely collapse. Donald would maybe even run third party or independent. It would spell the end of the party. I think, one way or the other, the party is going to split. The safest option, for them, would be Cruz (sadly). He is doing well, so him winning wouldn't be too against the idea of democracy and he holds many of Trump's ideas, but also has political experience and isn't as out there with his extremism.
But I don't want to entertain the chance of a Cruz presidency, so I'd rather have Trump or Kasich be the nominee.

I think you might be missing a key aspect in all of this though which is that the GOP has NOT been paying attention to the DEM race. They have a crisis going over there and they are spending millions of dollars trying to make sure Trump is not the nominee.
GOP leaders and Senators are on TV blasting Trump. They're not paying attention to Hillary OR Bernie.
But best believe that if Bernie is the nominee, they will throw everything at him, focusing primariliy on his Marxist/Socialist views.
Atleast with Hillary EVERYONE already knows everything the GOP will throw at her which is why her national poll numbers against Trump are much more believable than Bernie's.

In what ways? in fact, she's been nothing but inconsistent, and in more ways than one.

I don't know if I could live in an America with a President Ted Cruz...scary thought. The one thing that makes me optimistic is that he doesn't have an economic message so I don't think he'll appeal to blue collar workers

I don't think you have to worry about Cruz winning. First off all, he's "foreign" so the racists in the GOP base won't vote for him but more importantly he needs independents to vote for him and after they get acquainted with;
1) His willingness to shut down the US government to defund Planned Parenthood
2) His muslim comments
3) His asshole face
He will do McCain numbers in the GE.
The names who had a chance were Bush, Walker and Kasich. Cruz is far less dangerous than Trump because Trump has the "I'm a winner, look at my money, look at my hot wife! The others guys are losers!! Vote for me, be a winner!!" appeal.

Andres hates Hillary. That was sarcasm.
I don't get why people expect politicians to hold the same views on everything throughout their career. I would be incredibly worried of a candidate being stubborn with their opinions that they never change over time...

The best thing to happen to Ted Cruz is Donald Trump, as odd as that may sound. He was able to escape the fire from the left because they have honed in on Trump since he is the frontrunner. The guy is literally not liked on neither side of the aisle. He only picked up his first Senate endorsement because he was the only one left with a realistic shot at Trump. The establishment had to suck up their pride and pick the lesser of the two evils.

It's been covered before and pitched by some major publication, but I'm firmly against it. The POTUS and Veep need to have a good working relationship, where they like and respect one another (personally and professionally). I don't get that from Hillary and Bernie. However, I do get that from Tom Perez, Julian Castro, Sherrod Brown, and Tim Kaine. Those are my Top 4 candidates. I honestly think it'll be a CLINTON-PEREZ ticket this summer and fall.

They're going to pick Paul Ryan @ the convention after the first ballot.
Kasich is beyond horrible to me, i just don't see his appeal.

Paul Ryan says he won't run though and I believe him. He knows he doesn't stand a chance against Hillary Clinton. He's weak.

Would he want the job? He doesn't seem like a guy itching to climb the ladder.

So that Emerson poll had Sanders +8 in Wisconsin right? Hoping that's right because if so then their New York poll would be more believable

He pulled the same "I don't want the job!" stunt when his name came up for running mate. and Speaker.
And he ended up doing both
Paul and Hillary2016 are just about as weak as each other, lets be honest. Both empty suits (Hillary08 is another story)

Oh yeah, you're right about that.
I still think Hillary, although she's more scandal-ridden than he is, will murder him 1-1. Especially when it comes to debates.
Lord am I looking forward to the GE debates.
