I don't know any Monsters that were Methney fans before stanning Gaga but I would imagine that those that were dropped Britney in a heartbeat for Gaga when The Fame came out since it's better than everything in Britney's discography.
You know what's funny? EVERY. SINGLE. MONSTER. was an Army member before 2008. I was a member when "Poker Face" was peaking, and I remember it well. They don't wanna admit it, but they are soooo impressionable and capricious. The ones who first tried suicide did it because Britney made it cool. A copycat mess.
I've noticed that too from browsing older threads. It's not really a surprise since their base are super gay (not using this in a derogatory way) and Britney was the gayest act before Faga blew up. There was even a brief moment in early 2015 where they stanned her again since the Army laid off dragging Faga for a bit.
