It was obvious Team (or anything she released) was gonna be dead-on-arrrival
Her only chance of a comeback would have been to make a collab with the biggest names around. But given her social media crucifixion last year, nobody would ever want to associate with her out of fear of damaging their own brand
Justin came back from chanting about killing n-words with chainsaws, so Igloo really has no excuse. The fact that Trump loving American (aside from Blue) won't support her.
Nicki was a total laughingstock among black, white, and brown America throughout most of 2012 as well so I think Iggy still has a chance.
I don't think Azealia had anything to do with her demise in the overall reality. She was already done by then when she did that interview.
I think Iggy's final nail was leaving T.I. You can really tell he was giving her that likable music she did have, because Team/Azillion are just... trash lol.
The whole Work/Change Your Life/No Mediocre phase. >>

Even when the world hated Nicki, she was still getting a Top 5 on BB and a Top 10 on urban radio at the same time. I guess we'll see when Team rebounds
No, Nicki got a significant amount of backlash all across the board. Her doing mediocre pop chunes like Starships pissed off her Hip Hop audience. People have looked at her differently ever since. To this day, I don't think she's ever fully recovered.
But it wasn't on a career ending level like it was for Iggy. Nicki scored some of her biggest hits during that time.
Nicki was rightfully considered a joke by everyone when she released those half-ass pop songs with garbage disposal sounding "drops" on The Pink Friday: Monster
Nicki was definitely dragged by the entire public during PF:RR. Like it was BRUTAL, where were you.
ARTPOP was more fitting of 'only ATRL / gay pop fans realm was dragging her'. The public just didn't care about the era. Nobody in real life actually knows about Katy versus Gaga, ARTPOP underperforming, etc.
Iggy's twitter account did more damage than anything. She made herself seem ignorant and responded to literally every little thing that was said about her. But Azealia definitely added some fuel to the fire by starting the conversation on cultural appropriation (which isn't even a big deal to begin with.)
Nicki recovered from her backlash because at the end of the day, she's a much better rapper than Iggy and still had the demand to do features to keep her name out there because of this
