This should have been a solo Tove song. I like Nick, this isn't meant to be shady. I just don't think his voice suits this. The "CLOSE" needs to be belted, cause it feels anticlimactic with the falsetto. And the "oh damn" 3x part is awkward.

YES. I was singing Close this morning on the walk to school and couldn't remember the melody 100% and then realized I was singing the melody from Here Close >>>>> tho.
Not every song has to sound the same. Nick's falsetto makes it moody and relaxed. Not even Tove is belting. Someone belting would've made it predictable. Both Nick and Tove's parts fit perfectly with the concept of the song.
