It sounds to me like having someone to talk to would be the best thing for you. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your friends, then at least find someone. Keeping everything to yourself only exacerbates self-defeating thoughts and, left alone for long enough, our minds can make us believe anything, even that all our problems are insurmountable and that we're beyond hope. You have to break from that cycle somehow. There's always someone you can go to, even if it's someone you don't know.
I'm sure this mostly comes across like a bunch of self-help clichés but I assure you it's all true. I've been there, too.
