Born this Way peaked at #3, despite being the 14th best-selling song of 2011 in UK. And that was when there was like 40 #1's per year in UK. Meaning it outsold like more than half the #1's.
Applause's peak was just ugh. It could've been better had she not did OAOS.

And I don't get how a song can be the #1 selling song of the week, even if 90% of it's sales were pre-orders from previous weeks. Their charts were a mess tbh (still are, but not as much).

Hips Don't Lie, No One, Candy Shop, Gold Digger, Promiscuous, SexyBack, Irreplaceable, etc. All the smashes during that period are more remembered than We Belong Together & Hung Up.
