Both Adventure Of A Lifetime and Hymn For The Weekend are bigger global hits than anything Britanny has put out since 2011 so I don't get your point ?...
Anyways, Britney was left in the dust in the early 00s. She is not even an afterthought, just the woman who went crazy and attacked a man with an umbrella. No classic songs, no respect, no legacy, no NOTHING.
Yeah sorry, but the globe isn't limited to 3 or 4 select Western European nations where OLDplay still has a career. And at least Britney has a legacy for something and was a thought to begin with whereas Chris SHARTin is known as some ugly entity who "I think sang that La Vida Loca song...?"
No shade but that Rolling Stone list for Gwen Stefani listed all of her great solo songs (except for Rich Girl) so why is everyone in that thread asking for bad singles when there are countless more No Doubt singles that are 10x better? Do ATRL users just have that bad of taste?
I feel like the Backstreet Boys were the only bubblegum pop of the late 90s/early 2000s to really stick around. I Want It That Way still gets great recurrent AirPlay.
Coldplay's legacy should not be even explained. People are flocking to see them sing their classics live.
People will STILL be paying to see Fix You, Viva La Vida, Clocks, Yellow, etc 20 years from now. Can you imagine ANYONE attending a Britney Spears concert in 2030 to see her lip-sync to Baby One More Time's ancient vocals?

Coldplay have had an incredible amount of success but they've barely released anything outside the box, they're riding the U2 wagon and, of course, anyone who challenges one of the biggest bands in the planet is bound to succeed
