Pop stars used to be majestic and inspiring to a degree. They were like musical athletes and Titans. Nowadays, any mid western bumpkin who looks like the average US teen mom can have a music career is she's relatable enough to dumpy looking white girls.

All of this. You can look at most of our generation of divas and see something in them that makes them stars.
This is why I like Britney. She was your average girl next door, but when she performed, she had this spark about her that made her interesting. She had the "it factor" that only true superstars can have. That and sex appeal, which NONE of these newbies have. Tinashe has potential, but she's too lost musically to make use of it.
