Generally, the person who ends up winning is portrayed in a show a particular way. People call this "the winner's edit", but in my opinion, the edit really varies depending on the winner. Usually winners are given a substantial amount of confessionals, are shown talking about strategy, and give some backstory about their life off of the Island.
In terms of a "bad edit" - generally the producers/editors won't show the winner in an overly negative light. For example, Peter has been portrayed as really arrogant and lacking self awareness. It's highly unlikely that he will end up being the winner. I'd say that Scot is out of the running as well, unless he redeems himself with this Tai bromance story arc.
I'd say currently that Cydney and Michele have the most promising edits. That's probably just wishful thinking though.
