Jesse hasn't lost much IMO. His sales are just following with the times. Since he never really had a fanbase to begin with, or a major name, his sales get lower quicker.
The reason I don't agree is because "Leavin'" was huge, and "How Do You Sleep", "Body Language" were Top 40 hits. "It's Over" did decently, though it probably would've done better had a video come not 3 months after it was released. With that, all of them hit Top 40 radio as well. This shows he is notable at least.
But his albums don't sell because he was never a big artist who sold anyways, so he's basically a singles artist.
I agree with the thread starter also. If he was marketed to the Urban area a bit more, it could get him even more recognition. NOT MUCH, but it would help. I'm excited that the new album is more R&B since I love "Into Ya" and a few other urban friendly tracks on
Departure.
