Who was Gaga presenting for at her peak at the VMAs in 2011? BRITNEY. the same way that Britney presented Madonna with an award in 2004.
And Gaga was only known for crazy outfits that Madonna, Grace Jones and David Bowie did 20+ years before she was born. Aside from the K-Fed years, Britney was loved universally, and was still a much bigger deal than Gaga.
Gaga's music can't even be classified as karaoke music. Karaoke songs are typically remembered. Gaga's songs arent, and her YouTube stats prove that.
Yes, among the MANY things people remember her for, a mental breakdown is one of them. Right alongside iconic performances and videos. The only difference between Gaga and Britney in that regard is that Britney's meltdown was actually remembered, and caused her to gain the sympathy ofanyone with a moral compass. None cared about Gaga's meltdowns over Katy Perry PUNCHING her down the charts.
