As your host and "boss" for the duration of this game, I'll post my answers to the questions as well:
NOTE: I have started a Table of Contents in Post 1 of this thread, so you'll always be able to easily locate the challenges and major posts quickly by going there.
1. What is your favorite color, and why is it better than all the other colors? Be specific.
My favorite color is Midnight Blue. I enjoy dark shades of blue because they're mysterious, yet calming. Having a hint of color yet still being dark enough to be mistaken for black in low lighting makes for a very classic and highly versatile shade of blue.
2. What is your favorite piece of clothing you own? It does not need to be fashionable, but you should explain why it means so much to you in no more than a paragraph.
My favorite piece of clothing is my "Minimal Squirtle" shirt from CherrySauce. I'm a dork through and through, and Squirtle was my very first Pokémon card as a child. I believe strongly in the importance of cherishing memories from childhood and not trying too hard to grow up just because you've become (or are becoming) an adult. Here's an image from the internet (the guy is not me):
3. What is your favorite Devil Wears Prada quote, and why? If you're not familiar with the characters or their quotes, I highly encourage you to look some of them up online and/or watch the film.
For me, this quote symbolizes something very delicate in the relationship between Miranda and Andy... Interdependence. Miranda relies on her assistants and those around her. Without them, she'd have to do everything herself and she'd likely fail miserably. There's a sense of irony and power in Miranda seeming so concerned about her coffee. She needs it, yet she seems incapable of going to get it herself due to her demanding schedule. At the same time, Miranda is the reason Andy has her job... but watching Andy figure out who really has the control in the situation (Andy herself does) is a big part of why I love the film so much.
