I agree. I think Garland is a scapegoat to make the republicans look bad if they do not vote and will affect their seats come November's election. Unfortunate but most likely the case. Why else would he choose a white, 63 year old moderate?

Also, I think Sanders will get a spot on the cabinet by not VP. I could see him doing well as Secretary of the Treasury as it would be a more effective job for him.

I think if it's Trump Vs Hilary, the winner will be decided by how many Republicans vote Democratic to oust Trump and how much of Bernie's support can Hillary convert for herself (or have Bernie convert it). In many cases, Hilary's primary votes have been higher than Trump's so, Hillary can only add to that once she gets that official Obama endorsement in GE and gets some of Bernie's converts (I believe at least 20% of the casual Bernies will vote Hillary ultimately). Trump has almost nothing to get since most circles hate him. IMO he's basically peaking right now in popularity.

I agree with this except I think republicans hate Hillary so much they may not actually cross vote for her. They might suck it up, especially if Trump picks an okay VP

People always say this, but there are some that have stated if Trump is the nominee, they're voting for Hillary. During the Iowa Debate, they interviewed a woman in a bar full of people watching, she stated she was going to vote Dem for the first time in support of Hillary because she was disappointed with the options in her party. Then you had the Super Tuesday interview of the room full of people in the El Paso region where they asked if Trump won, would they vote for him or look into 3rd party/Hillary as an option. A few said Hillary while others said third party option. To say no GOP supporters won't crossover is a bit too much. There will be plenty. The question is how bad with the third party options hurt Trump or Hillary.

I've hinted at this before. But a little-discussed aspect of the Trump insurgency and drive to become First Citizen is that the GOP has been remarkably successful in recent years in scheduling its collective freakouts in non-election years: debt default crisis (2011), Cruz Obamacare government shutdown (2013). There are numerous examples. Obviously by its nature, a meltdown or freakout in a primary contest and nomination fight is by definition during an election. But managing the schedule so that the freakouts and elections don't overlap is a pretty big thing - especially presidential elections. The last time there was a scheduling breakdown was during the 1998 Clinton impeachment freakout. And, as you'll remember, a predicted GOP wave election turned into an almost unprecedented, if still modest, Democratic pick up in the House in the sixth year of a two term president's tenure in office.

So I think this election is going to be about who has more people hating the other sides candidate. You're going to have all of the republicans who despise Hillary voting against her and you'll have everyone that hates Donald trump voting for Hillary. Of course their will be those who vote purely democratic or republican, but I think it all comes down to who people dislike most.. What do you guys think?

I despise the **** out of Hillary almost as much as I can't stand Trump, but I'd vote for her over Trump any day.
