If the Republican convention is brokered and they don't choose Trump, he will run as an Independent. Bernie could then run as an independent. It's a risk, but not as big as a risk if he ran independent against Trump and Hillary only. It honestly would be Trump vs Bernie then.

That said, he'll probably back Hillary 100%.

Independents. Lots haven't even registered yet, and many of the ones who have aren't registered as Democrat. This is an issue in closed primary states.
