AHS: Plane/Apocalypse theme could be interesting. Maybe something happens to the world while they are on a plane, and the first few episodes revolve around us getting to know the characters, and them trying to figure out what's going on, then when they land somewhere, **** gets real.

Did Ryan ever confirm there were any hints on the show this season?
I thought he said the theme was hinted at in previous seasons.
The only thing we know is that it was planned as one of the first seasons and that the clues are in all seasons.
Ryan said he wanted one of them to be about the Manson family. And cult-clues are in all seasons.
Prison/Alcatraz is also a possibility.
Though, the season would probably not be subtitled Cult as it's not a place/building.
He only wrote one episode for Hotel 
At least is the best writer after James and Brad
