You know, back in the day some white people used to make fun of Sean Paul's accent the same way. The way people do not understand Patois is an actual language and it is not "broken English babbling" for your amusement
It is mostly Americans who don't understand this. Everyone else in the world bops to music that is not their native language all the time. But for Americans, everything foreign sounds funny to our ears because most are not used to it. They only listen to U.S. Top 40. No other international music lol. So glad Shakira cultured my ears. Woo.
