Just finished my first listen and a lot of it was in the same vein and I'm unable to remember a few but from what I remember my favs were Take It Off, Party... & Backstabber

And apparantly the album has been pushed back till April 12th in the UK to coincide with the second single, another bad move

The latest popstar to come out of America has pushed back the UK release of her debut album "Animal" from January 26th to April 12th. The release will co-inside with the release of the second single rumoured to be "Blah Blah Blah". All other release dates are the same.

I give the album 2.5/5 stars. She can't really sing and most songs sound the same. Sorry.

I dont really think it is about the singing, and the album has more variety aside from blah and tik tok. for me the album is 3.5-4 star range

I think this album will do well from the get go, the reason I don't think it will debut low like GaGa did is because GaGa released before she had a hit, and then when Just Dance was a real hit then the album took off. With Ke$ha she already has a #1 and she's releasing in January when there isn't much competition so this should debut high position-wise.

And I think she will be as big as GaGa. Maybe not as overexposed, but it's clear from "TiK ToK" alone and the demand for her album she has a chance.

Ke$ha will have success, but I don't think it will reach GaGa's level. The live performance aspect is completely different between the two; people aren't going to look forward to a performance from Ke$ha as much as they will from GaGa.

It's a great debut album though. My only complaint is that the songs sound extremely similar to each other.

Ke$ha will definitely be big next year, her songs are very radio-friendly. I honestly don't know what people are hearing when they say it all sounds alike, "Tik Tok" is similar to "Blah Blah Blah" but that's about the only direct similarity I hear since most of the album is not even the same genre as those.

And the live performance aspect is irrelevant since there have been lots of stars who have made it big without a stand-out performance. It's not as if she can't sing either, I've seen her perform "Tik Tok" live and she sounded good so she doesn't have to depend on autotune.

I honestly feel the "songs sound the same" complaint is coming from people who just have to say something negative about her. Because, like you, I only hear similar sounds in "TT" and "BBB". On the album you have a great mixture of sounds, especially with the slower/ballad-type songs.

And yes though her performances won't be over the top, she can go far without the notice.
