The iPhone 6S still has better battery life, the Galaxy S7 has terrible battery life and is even much lower than the Galaxy S6.
And you're forgetting the S7 takes two seconds slower than the iPhone 6S, while having nothing on it. The iPhone can be filled to the brim and be still two seconds faster.
But as everyone knows, the more you fill your Android, the more those two seconds increase due to how it's built.
So the two most requested things from things from the public (Batter Life and Speed) the S7 doesn't beat the iPhone nor does it beat the previous model in some cases.
Which is exactly why all this "praise" about how the phone works out of the box, no SIM etc that Samsung gets each year, doesn't reflect the feedback the phone gets a few months later which is why each Samsung flagship doesn't do well for more than the first few months.
It is what it is. Most people don't want a mini PC for a Phone, because we use our Laptops for that
The public would rather exchange it for Speed, Battery, and Storage.
Not to mention, as you said those two seconds add up each time you open an app

especially if you need to open several in a few moments.
