In a world where vanity, fake bodies, and "Instagram modeling" gets more recognition than young women going to college and becoming entrepreneurs based off of their talent and intellect, people do need to speak out and tell young girls there are other ways. You don't have to be naked. You don't have to go get fake asses and boobs. Your worth will not and does not need to be measured on your looks, your ass, your Instagram filters, etc.
The world is extremely artificial. And there is nothing wrong with trying to promote realness.

can't that be achieved without throwing shade or whatevs?

P!nk didn't name any names or make reference to anything specific to Kim. People are surmising it's about her because she's guilty.

Wasn't it also Kim Kardashian and her two sisters starting it ? Bitch Kim Kardashian is a business
woman and have been for MANY years. She is by fact involved in her work and always been.
Just because some of you are ignorant to the theme don't make
Kim Kardashian less a business woman.

|
Outside of putting their name on a store that they bought with their stepfathers money, it's doubtful that they micromanaged it. None of them were even qualified to run a small business to begin with.

Not people dragging Pink in defense of Kim Kardashian.
Pink's Stupid Girls video was truly ahead of it's time.
Y'all need a reality check

Pink didn't bash Kim. People are taking her words and applying them to Kim because Kim is the exact opposite of the type of woman Pink is promoting in her statement. THAT, in itself, says a lot about how people really feel about Kim.
Don't you find it ironic how simply stating "you don't need to be naked to be successful" is considered a dig at certain women?

PREACH!!!
Especially since about 1% off these instagram models "make it" as in succeed in being able to making a living out of being popular. The rest waste valuable time promoting their bodies instead of developing their minds. And when that is gone, when your boobs sag and your ass is dropping and the men stop looking, they are left with NOTHING.

|
Kim would get attention for walking to the store The question is not whether she has talent or not, she wouldn't need this selfie to get it.
Also, this is an ancient thought. Women can do whatever they chose with their image. As long as they're not ****ing around, they should not be considered ****s for this.
If you chose not to show your body, cool. If you chose to do so, cool too.

Even if it's not about Kim, her post still bashes women who choose to show/their bodies and I don't think you need to downgrade them to upgrade other women doing other things with their lives.

That was a photoshoot that went towards breast cancer awareness. I believe it was a part of a book that was sold to raise money for breast cancer. It wasn't some topless photo made for attention or whatever. It was for a good cause.

This is all true, but you don't have to bring other women down in the process of creating awareness, man. If this matter is so important to P!nk, why wait until Kim Kardashian, out of all people, posts a naked selfie?

Is the shade telling other women you don't have to be naked to achieve? If it is, oh well. The truth of the matter is that a lot of these reality stars get naked for attention because they have nothing else to offer. If there was sustainable talent, we wouldn't be overrun with fake booties, fake lips, and cosmetic surgery shows. The media promotes artificiality and by doing so, is saying to a lot of girls that you need to look this way and behave that way in order to make it. We focus more on celebrating and following the Kim's and Kylie's but who much do we talk about Malala?
Kim is a horrible representation. As shown by how artificial and vanity driven her own little sisters have become.

Pink is not bashing women who show off their bodies occasionally. She's bashing women who instead of educating themselves, challenging themselves, going out there and making something out of their lives, settle for being instagram models 24/7.
There's nothing wrong with nudity. There's something wrong with women who don't aspire to be anything more than their sex. It's sad tbh.

For the record, just because Pink's my fave and I follow her interviews, she never claims that showing your body is bad. She just thinks you need to have more to offer. Like Kim is clearly business savvy. She could focus her energy and time on something that can actually make a difference, not just something to raise her followers and tv show viewers. But Pink has this problem of fully explaining what she means. I've heard her do countless interviews on this topic, and I can assure you, she has no problem with nudity. It's just you need show you have more to offer the world and society than your body.
