Hillary's "inevitability" argument hasn't helped enthusiasm, and probably hurt her tonight. She kept pushing the "i won" and "we go national!!!" speech everywhere, and probably lots of Hillary voters stayed in, voted Republican, or even voted Bernie because they thought Hillary already had it in the bag.

thats what i'm thinking too.... Most people already consider her the nominee. I was talking to friends today and they all thought Bernie was done after south carolina.

Republicans are very polarized, and that's driving turnout.

I love Hillary and all but she needs to change her f****** campaign direction. #ImWithHer should not be her campaign hashtag or slogan... It should be #ShesForUs or something like that.

Honestly, I think what came down to this loss is bad polling. Hillary was projected to win this and it was supposed to be a guaranteed win for her. One poll had her up by about 30 points. Likely because of this, Hillary's team spent less time and money in Michigan because it was a guaranteed state and probably went on to more toss-up states. Her victory speech tonight was in Ohio, for instance. On the flip-side, Bernie spent a TON more money in Michigan than her. We'll see, but I think that came down to it.

I feel like SO much is wrong with the campaign first of all, what campaign is centered around "I" and "me" so much? She needs to be more inclusive. "We" and "Us" need to be in her vocabulary more

Also, she needs to drop the warm grandma act No one believes she spends her free time backing cookies and changing Charlotte's diapers The reason Hillary has fans and feminist stans is because people think she's a badass that fights Republicans and could beat the **** out of the Tea Party. you can't be a "fighter" and a "grandma" at the same time Pick the damn fighter image and get tough. Stop with the cackling, stop trying to seem warm because already, no one buys it Go full-on iron lady. I mean, she was MOST popular with that pissed-off looking picture of her and a blackberry, and that's when young people loved her most!

and she needs to stop being so guarded there were so many moments where she could have dragged in an embarassing moment from her past to connect with people (like the prayers questions or the "humble" question) but she just ends up talking in platitudes

She also needs to quit kissing Obama's ass. Sure, he's a great guy and a popular president and all... But Bernie's base is fed up with what we have right now and want radical change and Obama is not popular among them because he is establishment and Bernie—regardless of how he tries to evade it in debates—is not Obama's biggest fan.

I'm not saying she needs to attack Obama or anything, but she needs to slightly distance herself and seem like her own separate entity and less like koala on a tree when it comes to Obama.If she could limit herself to mentioning him only three times in a debate (unless asked a specific question about Obama), that would be great!

This is a great win for Bernie's campaign. It's in his best interest to use this momentum to perform well next Tuesday. That said, his state wins won't matter much unless he starts to close the delegate lead. I think next Tuesday will shape the rest of the primary race.

Pretty much... When she responded in the first debate about how her being the first female president would make her presidency memorable... I cringed... It just didn't look good. It was one of the worst comments of the night. If it was just Bernie and Hillary, than it would have been. Thankfully Jim Webb and Lincoln Chaffee kept that from happening.

Those Dems are a minority, don't let brogressives on Reddit fool you. Obama has 80%+ approval with Dems and is easily the most popular Dem national figure. He could end this race with an endorsement if he really wanted to.

I never go on Reddit. You may be right, but if she talks Obama more than she already does, it will make her look pretty desperate, in my mind.

I'll pay attention to this thread to see if anyone says anything about it. I will not be watching the debate because I'm sick of them at this point and nothing new is going to be said.
