Rihanna gained a LOT of respect after Stay what are you talking about? And Diamonds. She proved herself. Rihanna is respected. Not nearly as much as Beyoncé but Bey has had more time to prove herself. She wasn't hailed the way she is today ten years into her career, it was gradual. Disrespected artists, and this is nothing against then, are artists like Katy, Britney and Kesha. One would be simply stupid to put Rihanna on the same level of respect as them. One would also have to be extremely empty-headed to say that Rihanna is more respected as Beyoncé or that Beyoncé isn't respected. Literally nobody believes that

That's not to say anything bad about Rihanna. But she's more "liked" than she is respected.
