Dude. He was 14 and owned up to his mistakes.
A lot of white kids incubated in white only neighborhoods express ignorance towards every race.
I grew up in Idaho (.9% black population) and a kid casually called me a ****** at school. Literally went, "Hi, ****** ". It was like 7th grade. So around 13. I confronted him, told him it wasn't okay. Never did it again. Another guy, was Hispanic, while we were playing kickball or something, I missed a kick and he was like "Mother****ing ******!" not thinking anything about it. Then we got in a fight, I punched him hard and that was around 8th grade. So 14. We made up after that.
And now at 22, they're both different people. One is a father now. And neither are racists. But both were at one point, ill-informed teenagers (like ALL of us).
