In that regard, you can tell how much Gwen Stefani influenced her. Not even being sarcastic. Gwen's admittedly creepy fascination with "Harujuku Girls" was justified with 'appreciating the culture' which is what I think Katy believes shes doing, (which, IMO, she is doing). Ugh both songs and videos are FLAWLESS. It's a shame nobody could make a video like that now without mass backlash. The PC world we live in has gone too far. No offence was meant.
