Me too, weren't the odds at over 70%? And her campaign has been spot-on, from attending all the Oscars-related parties/meetings to fake-supporting Ke$ha, while Sam Smith has done nothing in the past year except the Bond theme.

Nicki has won zero Grammys. So what? A Grammy does NOT and should NOT define an artist. There are plenty of critically acclaimed artists that have won zero Grammys. Bob Marley, Tupac, Bjork, Nas, Jazmine Sullivan and Snoop Dogg have never won a Grammy. Does that make them a bad artist? No.

Yes, Nicki has experimented with pop music and released pop music, but at the end of the day, Nicki Minaj is hip-hop/rap artist first and has been praised by almost every hip-hop/rap legend and quite a few pop legends. Say what you want about her but you can't deny the fact that she's an acclaimed artist who IS a rap icon.
