I was stalking some old tay threads & found this

Here is my opinion on Taylor Swift and her music in general. She is a fantastic songwriter. One of the best actually. Everything before Red was incredible. I loved every song from Taylor Swift, Fearless and Speak Now. Even the Deluxe Edition songs and the re-issues. Long Live is definetly one of Taylor Swift's better songs. The immature stuff only resides on Red because for some reason she wants to downgrade her incredible songwriting abilities and be a Pop girl. Her Pop songs are insulting, derogatory, sexist and extremely childish. She wastes herself to put it bluntly. She thinks she's being versatile and different by bringing out songs like 'WANEGBT" and "22" and the very few other songs she has that are spitefully written to cause controversy and make her ex-boyfriends feel like crap. No I don't think the only thing she can write is songs about prissy teen love affairs and break-ups. But it seems to be the only thing she's releasing so she obviously thinks she's better that way. As for me, I prefer the younger Taylor.

It's so silly to say but to me it seems like she was a lot more mature when she was a child. Her songs are clear indication she de-matured. She's 22 but acts 12. She's capable of writing incredible songs but she just doesn't anymore. Has she lost her nerve? Is she being told what to do? You tell me what the problem is here. Because I can tell you something, she will never get respect for the adult demographic if she carries on the way she is now. She's better than that and she knows she is. She just needs to be given some time to think about where her artistry truly lies.

That poster has a definite gripe with pop. The likes of 22 and WANEGBT are no different from a maturation standpoint than some of her previous material, but since they're pop songs they get dragged.
