i wouldn't be so sure of that. just because songs aren't good doesn't mean they won't be a hit, even if they're released as a first single. i mean, look how well roar did

also, 5H is doing well, but not really close to #1 in sales at all yet, so i don't think we can know how high on the chart they'll get at this point either.

They are getting great radio play already, 172 adds on Pop radio, which is incredible. They are going to debut in the Top 20, and have the chance to rise into the Top 10 in the following weeks. If a crappy song like No blocks them, and they get #11, I'll be pissed.

I honestly don't think it will do well, though. Meghan isn't a Katy. Katy can make a cheesy pop song a #1 hit, but Meghan doesn't have that power yet.

but there are a lot of not well-known artists making cheesy pop songs that became big hits. (especially in the 90s, but still true now) i mean, the weeknd did it with earned it last year, which is the first example that comes to mind. (i don't care what anyone says, that song is terrible)

NO isn't cheesy though and considering it' was already hot picked by many stations prior to release and is already getting played on Z100 and other big stations, I see it being bigger than Work From Home, sorry... Although Work From Home is amazing too and deserves to be big.
