That's not an excuse. If a game starts to add more and more ridiculous features, it detracts from the game, whether you use it or not. For example - I don't like ORAS as much because it just randomly gives you overpowered pokémon such as M-Lati@s. Sure, you can just not use those pokémon, but people generally don't like playing games suboptimally. It doesn't feel right.
I'd love it if I could use M-Blaziken and M-Latios in ORAS without completely breaking the game, because I love those pokémon. But I can't. I can't even use the mega for my favorite starter without breaking the game, for crying out loud.

On a related note, all next Pokémon games just needs a hardmode. I'm confused it doesn't even exist yet. Just have all pokémon of trainers (and maybe of wild pokémon) be 10% higher level, for example. Have gym leaders have 1-2 extra pokémon (gym leaders with only 2-3 pokémon is ridiculous anyway). How difficult could creating a hardmode really be?
Also, Pokémon really needs to improve its AI. Trainers ingame never switch pokémon. I think I saw it maybe 4 times in all pokémon games I played, and that was only because that pokémon had zero moves that could damage my pokémon.
Those would be things that would really make Pokémon fun again. Not this "turn off Exp. Share for hardmode" crap.
