No one is perfect obviously. He's said he wants to start a political revolution which changes the realities of politics today. And tbh politics today are a mess, so I don't know why people think it's delusional to advocate for more. Single-payer healthcare is possible. Taxing wall street is possible. But some people are okay with America continuing to fall in every single ranking around the world for some reason.

some virginia facts to back this up!
- northern virginia is the highest income region in the country, with a large percentage of the top 20 highest-income counties in the US there
- while the entire state is generally more affluent than the national average, the parts south of the DC metro area are less rich
- there's a rapidly growing hispanic population in northern virginia, much more than the rest of the state
- the job market in northern virginia is partially dominated by government jobs due to its proximity to DC
- farming is still a viable industry in quite a bit of the state, but it's growing less and less important as the state becomes more urban
- the southern parts of virginia are actually still pretty conservative, but the northern part and to some extent the other urban areas are a liberal stronghold and nearby areas are generally trending towards being more liberal over time
- personal experience: when i moved to college in central virginia i had a huge culture shock in the difference between it and northern virginia. some people fly confederate flags here and people actually like country music and everyone holds doors for you. like that was so unfamiliar to me.

Yes Northern VA is very different than Southern and Central VA. Like when I visit my cousins up north it's always a bit shock how different the two regions are. Also, with the rapid support I've seen for Trump here I'm not shocked he won VA at all.
