Here is the link to the Billboard Country Update for everyone so you can see BB's Country Airplay Chart (and other BB Country Charts). I'll let everyone look at the chart for themselves. "Dibs" barely missed going recurrent, and fell below the three #1s that came before it. Seeing how successful Brandy Clark is with this song and as an artist will be a tolerance test for the Country format. She's the first openly gay Country artist to reach the Country Airplay Charts. Normally I wouldn't bring up someone's sexual preference, as I rarely see that as important and as a personal decision. This is conservative Country radio though, where this will come into play, so I hope she can do well.

Chely Wright did not find success after coming out, and we all remember the uproar over "Girl Crush" about a year ago at this time. Kacey Musgrave's "Follow Your Arrow" performed far better on the Billboard Country Chart than the Billboard Country Airplay Chart. Clark and Shane MacNally are both openly gay successful Country songwriters they wrote "Follow Your Arrow"), however Shane gave up his recording career 15 or so years ago.
