XY (gen 6 in general) is the best gen since gen 1.

Gen 6 is doing fine saleswise .. only slightly worse than Gen 5 and 3 (kinda losing against YW in japan when it comes to popularity tho) but it's a reach to call it a new peak.

Ugh i am split. On the one hand i want a region based on Hawaii. I've wanted that for so long.
But on the other hand i really want South Kalos, the Zygarde stuff and in general something related to Kalos so that it can redeem itself
I was at serebii and i really cant with all the geeks there... they prefer a gen 6.5 because of things like zygarde forms, eternal floette, why malva was in team flare and other irrelevant things... I liked gen 6, kalos was beautiful but i dont want another France! Lets get a whole new gen 7!! and Hawaii is perfect cause its tropical... Hoenn remains the best map...
I remember playing Pokemon Yellow for the first time when I was 8 years old and I rage quit because I could´t beat Brock because the only pokemon I had was Pikachu and didn´t care about wild pokemons but for feeding my only rooster. Good times.

And about sales, it is the biggest pokemon game since gen1 in terms of actual console penetration. (an actual fair comparison). 1 in 3 3ds owners has it. It is the best selling 3ds games.
Gen 4 & 5 were actually the downfall of the franchise. They were not the best selling ds games. Didn't reach the penetration X&Y did.
