This isn't anything major, more of an observational post, but a few months ago I saw Jesse St John (writer of Charli XCX's "Secret") mention he's heard Britney's new material and that it was really good. He even went as far to bring up Blackout. I'm assuming he's somehow involved since he works closely with a lot of Sony artists. I don't think anything will be half as weird as Blackout, but I do think this will be different compared to the last 3 albums we've had, possibly something more urban? I brushed what he said off until Larry brought up The Weeknd on the Vegas podcast.
