Bigbang became the exception since the group in Korea is seen more like artists than idol since they actually are involved in every process of their release and always write, compose and produce most of their stuffs.
That's what 4 Minute is actually trying to do and is transitioning between simple idol where all the songs are given to them. They want to do their thing by themselves. They actually chose their own producers, songwriters and heavily involved in their music cause they just know their time is counted.
