Eh Katy seems to be over the pop scene tbh. If this were TD era Katy, she'd be working on her album since last year. All she's going now is vacationing + She said she'll stop doing pure pop music with her next album and go for a Dance sound (which I hope is true). I don't even see KP4 coming out this year

As many of you have already stated, the GP does not give a flying **** about sales.

Beyoncé does not need more money than she already has, Blue's grand grandchildren are set for life.

However, being referred to as a synonym for success, greatness and self-confidence in almost every major TV-show, movie, talk show etc is way more valuable than how many people want to throw $2 at you for a single song.

Also, people wanting to pay hundreds of dollars to see you perform live > people wanting to listen to your song 3 times before paying it dust.
