Recording the version of Piece By Piece today we performed on @AmericanIdol last night! No rest for the emotional!
Also shows that they naturally didn't expect this sort of reaction. Version would have been ready to be put on iTunes if they did.
Piece By Piece won't be seeing #1 unless it's given an actual release to Top 40. When it was released last year, it only went for adds on HAC.
And even then, it wouldn't be happening for a while. She'll probably jump into the top ten for a week or two and then plummet with no airplay to keep her afloat otherwise.
Even if she debuts on Billboard, Kelly Clarkson fans will be happy with that, I think nobody is waiting #1 or longevity, just a good debut. Invincible didn't even touch the Bubbling Under with all the promo it had.
I like it but I don't think it will be #1, it should smash in the urban charts tho.

A radio station in New York just had a "world premiere" for it, so it might be getting a Top 40 release!
And yeah, the Kelly stans just REALLY want Top 10!

The attention is well deserved. Hopefully the piano version is going to ODS at the same time it hits the download websites. She is still emerald green 24 hours later, and other emerald green songs are still losing ground.
Kelly Clarkson is currently #1, #61, and #165 with "Piece By Piece." When the studio piano mix is released, she'll have 4 versions in the Top 200, 3 in the Top 100, and likely 2 in the Top 50 (if not higher). This gives Piece By Piece a well-deserved second wind.
Praying for a re-release of this single.
