The vocals are not bad at all. Very lazy, but bad, c'mon. The problem is that it was boring af and Work doesn't work live at all.
What's in fact tragic is her choosing this over KIB or LOTB both of which got canceled but would have done wonders for the album

Was a pretty decent performance. Loved the visuals and choreography. Can't wait till we have a HQ link, I may need to make an aubrih avi.
It wasn't the worst thing ever. But the visuals certainly saved it. It's not the "superb", "outstanding" and "amazing" performance that some are making it out to be, nor is it "horrid", it's just mediocre.

I think she sounded good because her voice itself is such a pleasing sound, but the way she was using it and the ability she showed was not great.
I can't believe how most of you are very unforgiving with her performance. She sounded like she's still have some issues with her voice/still under the weather. You can easily hear that during Consideration. When she transitioned to Work, it became less obvious but for some parts, her voice seemed weak still.
This is not her normal voice. Still, I applaud her for being professional putting a great show visually despite her struggling with her voice.
Most of you don't know what bronchitis can do to someone's singing voice. Mess.
tbh there wasn't much wrong with the performance at all -- vocals could have been more on point when she was doing WORK but she was actually doing choreo and the visual was so amazing I was okay with it.
Not when that was a ripoff of Ciara's Love Sex Magic.
That's not true though.
Both were inspired by Crazy Horse. Beyoncé even emphatically points that out in Partition’s video by having the Crazy Horse sign appear was the doors open of her car, right before the scenes with the lighting lol.
Also, Work being uptempo doesn't automatically means that it will be a mess live. The verses on the song are akin to that of Rude Boy and What's My Name which Rihanna can easily pull off. However, the hook will always be a mess and that's where the background singers usually helps.
