No. I was just saying I don't think anything The Sims 4 does will reignite my interest and that I hope The Sims 5, whenever it will be released, will be an improvement.

For TS5 I hope they get rid of rabbit holes. Work, school, restaurants, movie theater...everything.

Have they announced a new EP though? I can see them bailing on The Sims 4 by the end of this year if they can't pull together a successful EP by then.

They already have done that in Sims 4. While everyone who ditched it first day fails to see they are actually answering a lot of long term requests (and most importantly are missing out on a game that's being built from player feedback).
They've slowly made a lot of Rabbit Holes (Bookstore, Hospital, Science Lab, Police Station, Spa, and rumoured next pack is a Bistro) into actual places.

They just released an EP in December which had the most positive rate of fan feedback in a long while (even though the original launch trailer was too vague and got backlash).
And why would they bail on the Sims 4? The base game keeps outperforming EA's expectations every quarter, and the Get Together expansion had a huge positive response from players.
Not to mention, it's averaging 80k+ players right now, which puts it above most games on Steam and it's not even an online game (online thing needed online is to download other people's creations).
So no, why bail on something that's doing really well? And is getting monthly content.

They need to make it where you can see traveling like Sims 3 use to have. They also need to make it where Sims 3 can convert over to Sims 5. I just skipped the whole Sims 4 like it didn't happen.

And that's the logic a lot of people on here have and it's a shame because it's good. The base was crap, but the DLC has been more than great. The last EP had the best fan reception since World Adventures.
The game is getting more players online than most triple A games on Steam, and it has no online features expect the Gallery. And it's also gaining huge revenue because the DLC is good. EA even admitted it had an extremely slow start, but once Get To Work was announced, sales were extremely good. It just needed good DLC and that's what we got. It earnt 75 million in revenue in 7 months. The Sims franchise's peak was 137 million in 2009 (which also included all the Sims 2 and My Sims games) and that was a full 12 months. The Sims 4 earnt 75 in 7 months. 5 more months and it would have been a record.

To be fair, EA have done everything they could to save The Sims 4. They re-added pools due to fan demand, they've released 2 great expansion packs etc. The issue with it is it just felt like a step backwards.
I also think they'll end The Sims 4 era by the end of this year.

The Sims 4 will last through 2018. We still have Seasons, Pets, University and Generations to go with regards to the main expansions and that would take us to the end of 2017 already (I don't think they will ever call quits on a Sims game without releasing those). If it's underperforming commercially at that point then I think they will stop, but right now it's performing fine so I can see them doing a few more EPs on top of that too, Showtime and Supernatural are the most likely but they're always throwing new ideas into the mix.

They didn't add pools due to fan demand, they were coming already. They just weren't ready in time.
And why will they end the Sims 4 this year when it's been the most profitable game yet?

I don't think the Get To Work expansion was good, I mean if it was trying to accomplish what Ambition did, it fell incredibly flat. I've only really tried being a doctor, detective and more recently (owning a retail business, which was so incredibly disappointing, it's so slow, so hard, the staff Open for Business >) they felt more like tasks, than actual fun, which the professions in Ambition brought an entirely new innovative experience, I mean being a Firefighter was incredibly satisfying.
Get Together on the other hand, the new town really brought the game alive. I feel like the surroundings in each neighborhood, are exciting, and encourage exploration. This pack also really brought the Sims alive, I felt more invested in each sims character, and the experiences you can have with your gathering can be extremely pleasing. I had a lot of fun joining the Paragons, eventually taking over, and having fun outings together. The new features were great, I even found having group gatherings at your home lot, brought an entirely new experience as well. I built up a complex building, joint housing, shared kitchen, rooftop with a spa, dance floors, dj booth, and just having a group of young friends coming together, creating a really fun atmosphere.
Day Spa, and the camping pack are cute, I would like them to explore traveling further, because you run out of things to do very quickly. Also the option to edit the lot would've been nice, I mean had you been a writer, and wanted to plan a get away to possibly catch up on some writing, you'd have to leave, edit the lot in manage world options, and then bring them back, which I found incredibly annoying.
I'm now somewhat at a dead end, my two main sims have died, had children, who're now young adults, and teens, I'm not really sure where I can go now, so I really need a new expansion pack, and I hope they deliver something with new innovative ideas, not rehash something and do it with less passion like Get To Work.
If you want to truly appreciate The Sims 4, I would really say give it a go, download Get Together, and the base game, create a fun complex building, have a couple of roommates, turn free will on, and see where your story leads, I found this new way of playing really fun, and I would say it gave me a new appreciation for The Sims 4, and a good month or 2 of having a lot of fun with the game, something I can't really say I've had since possibly The Sims 3 Late Night.

Although Get To Work was amazing in my eyes. Although the Retail Workers were crap. The constantly need discipline to get them to work. I'm surprised you hate Active Careers if you have fondness over Ambitions. To me it's the same, but rather than repeat the same activities over and over, you get new goals each level.

I think they should keep building on The Sims 4 it has great potential, The Sims 5 can release around 2018. Although it will probably be like 2020 or 2022
I think they should really push themselves to create new ideas, otherwise come The Sims 6 will anybody really care? Stop releasing so many mindless stuff packs, and start releasing game packs, and expansion packs. EA appear so money hungry at times which is disheartening since The Sims fans are so loyal, and get taken so advantage of with these ridiculous stuff packs releasing every other week.
They have been really generous with updates, but that was somewhat just them backtracking on stuff that should have originally been included in the base game.
Clearly they need expand on the baby life stage, and introduce a toddler stage. I can't really think what I want next, do you guys have any really innovative ideas on how to expand the game further?

I need TS4: University more than I need Seasons, Pets & Supernatural. They can release the 3rd EP in April but University in the Fall/Winter (Late November/Early December) of 2016 is a necessity.
