From today? She kinda dragged Rihanna for not being a legend after celebrating Work going #1

I know, and I hate that I can see what she's talking about. Hmm, how can I say all of this without seeming like a fake stan...
Hits and stats alone aren't enough to make someone a legend. One has to have more than that. Legends have to be known for something. I mean, just look at the company Rih is in stat-wise:
Stevie Wonder is a musical genius.
Janet is one of the best female performers of all time.
Whitney is THE VOICE.
Madonna is the Queen of Pop. She was provocative. Boundary pushing. Inspired every single female pop star after her.
MJ is MJ. Ultimate performer. Excellent musician.
Mariah's known for her voice. She's produced 14 of her #1s and wrote all but one of them.
The Beatles are the most iconic band of all time.
Even Bey is known as the Queen B, the best of the best of the current generation.
...Rihanna isn't really known or highly regarded for any particular talent. She's hasn't done anything goundbreaking. She's known for chasing trends instead of having songs that stand against time apart from Diamonds. She's not really known for anything that would separate her from everyone else, so I can see why Wendy said that. With all that being said, she's already an icon, and won't be soon forgotten. I can see her still pumping out hits over the next 5 or so years and doing extremely well for herself in the fashion world afterwards.
