It's clearly a Sam vs Gaga thingy. Gaga has the advantage of having by her side Diane Warren (8th nomination, known by the Academy), Sam has the advantage of the franchise (bigger, more known, etc).
LG5 will do ok. A Cheek To Cheek sized era, but with more successful singles. I'd consider it a minor success.

Gaga has also been campaigning non-stop for the Oscar while Samantha has done nothing, there's no way she's losing it. I mean the number of threads on ATRL of her performing at different luncheons for Academy voters
As much as I love dragging her, you can't deny that she hustles. I kinda respect that about her
