In most of these cases, it's not even registering to vote, it's the switching of parties or going from independent/undeclared to Democrat that is the problem. I don't think they should have that ability on the same-day when dealing with caucuses. In primaries? Yes, that's fine because it's an almost all-day affair, but caucuses are at a designated time and creates chaos.
As for voter's registration...I feel you should automatically become a registered voter once a social security number is issued to you. When you come of age in an election year, your eligibility to vote starts at that time. It is your American right to be able to vote.
