Im so confused, I thought that the offer meant she still was under the control of Luke even though she wouldn't actually have to record with him. This whole thing is so messy, I hope we get some answers soon.

When I first read the news I was ready to come on her and hand in my stan card and say good ****ing day to y'all and Kesha, but seeing all the support and fight its just so heart warmning.

Well he's had ****** production and writing credits since 2014, there's been an underlying dislike for his actions within the industry for a while now. I don't think we'll be seeing (m)any new Dr. Luke songs on the radio anymore though. He's done.

I can't see him having much of a career after today (thank you Judge for ruining his career at least). The only way I can see this ending okay for darling Kesh is if Sony Records really starts the feel the prssure from the public and media and either a) just releases her from her contract (very very unlikely) or b) renogitates with Kesha's party to get her to move to a completely new sub-label (not ideal but better than nothing).

There was a rumour going around that Dr. Luke was looking to leave Sony in favour of another recording company? If thats true than what does that mean for Kesha?

Sony would be smart to start siding with the one the world is supporting. I mean let's look at this from a business point of view. A view we shouldn't have to, but realistically Dr Luke's name has been almost ruined and they'd be wise to pick the one the who'll bring in the money from the GP

According to Sony they support both the future of Luke's and Kesha's careers, but just because they claim they aren't mutually exclusive doesn't make it so. Contractually, the success of Kesha's career is dependant on Luke's. I can definitely see why Kesha would be hesitant to take Sony up on their "offer" to let her work outside of Luke's control after they showed support for Luke. The nightmarish thoughts of "what if they refuse to promote, don't give me any budget etc." are legitimate concerns because nobody wants to be in that position of technically being able to release music but not really getting it released beyond an iTunes download. It wouldn't help that Pebe and her lawyers probably strongly advised against taking Sony up on their offer.
